This page explains what information NaweChart collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your username, email address, password, school, class and optionally your school town. Your password is stored in a hashed form, not as plain text. While you use the site we also store the content you send, such as messages, photos, files, voice notes, statuses, polls and call records, so that your chats work.
How we use it
We use this information to run your account, show your chats and rooms, list your school, keep the site safe and review reports. We do not sell student information.
Who can see it
Other students can see your username, school, class, profile picture and the messages you send to them or in rooms you join. They cannot see your email address or phone number. Site administrators can review reported content to keep students safe.
Voice and video calls
Calls are provided through a third-party real-time communication service. Call connections are used only to connect the people in the call.
Your choices
You can edit your school, class, picture and status on your profile page, and you can change your password at any time. You can report or block any student. If you want your account or information removed, ask the site administrator through your school.
Children and young people
This site is for students. Young students should use it with the knowledge of a parent, guardian or teacher, and should read the safety tips and the community rules.
